I had also forgotten that it’s the first book about Blandings Castle, whose inhabitants feature in some other excellent and amusing Wodehouse novels. However t he last time I read it was almost twenty years ago, when I read it aloud to my sons, who were young teenagers at the time. I had downloaded it years ago from Project Gutenberg, even though we have a paperback edition. I was flying to the UK, and in browsing through my Kindle library, I discovered ‘Something New’ by PG Wodehouse. I recommend this to those persons who desire a good laugh.I love having a Kindle when I’m travelling. Inconvenient and serendipitous coincidences, false judgements, false accusations and queer personalities were some of the ingredients used to bring out laughter in this well written classic. It was really good drama that was sprinkled and climaxed with comic relief.
In short, it is a great novel with a great story that keeps you up for many days. Readers will enjoy each word of the page from each sentence. From the first page to last, it keeps the readers on the toe. It will make you paranoid at a few moments and then numb your thoughts for seconds. It is a complete bundle of mystery, thrill and fringing full of Surprises. Each character of the novel is interesting and amazing. The author developed the characters so beautifully. This novel is filled with twists and turns, fast-paced, lots of action, suspense which continued to increase, mystery. Something New is a fabulous novel with the fantastic and classy story of modern fiction.
